About Alvin and the Chipmunks
Alvin and the Chipmunks is a virtual band created by Ross Bagdasarian, Sr., for a novelty record in 1958, with character David Dave Seville as their songwriting adoptive father. Spin-offs of the original band include: The Alvin Show, Featuring Alvin and the Chipmunks and Clyde Crashcup (1961-1962); the 1983 TV series; feature-length films The Chipmunk Adventure (1987), Alvin and the Chipmunks Meet Frankenstein (1999), Alvin and the Chipmunks Meet the Wolfman (2000), Little Alvin and the Mini-Munks (2003), Alvin and the Chipmunks (2007), the Squeakquel (2009), Chipwrecked (2011), and the Road Chip (2015). There’s also a CGI animated TV show and a video game.
