Chip and Dale are not related to Alvin and the Chipmunks.
Chip and Dale are Disney characters created by Bill Justice. They first appeared in the 1943 cartoon Private Pluto.
Alvin and the Chipmunks were created by Ross Bagdasarian in 1958 as an animated virtual band. They were originally called David Seville and the Chipmunks.
Alvin, Simon, and Theodore went on to star in a range of TV shows and feature-films. Similarly, Chip and Dale have had their own successes starring in cartoons, shows, and films.
However, despite their similar successes, Chip and Dale are not related to Alvin, Simon, and Theodore.
