There was so much I wanted to say about this fantastic episode that I couldn't possibly fit it all in without making the video too long! I'll pop an outline of my thoughts below with a few extra things not mentioned in the video. What did you think of the series finale?

(SPOILERS, SWEETIE!)

- The opening was a beautifully powerful, much like the episode as a whole, and the inclusion of past Doctors worked well. I've heard a lot of fans complaining that there's too much 'Classic', but I don't see this to be a problem at all. While Moffat says we need to look forward, the show's history cannot be forgotten, and the regenerations are, after all, an important part of who the Doctor is.

- RIVER! Oh how I love River Song. Isn't Alex Kingston beautiful? Her role in this episode was perfection, in my eyes, and couldn't have gone better. And that kiss... oh wow! I don't know who I'm more jealous of, the Doctor or River!

- Strax, Madame Vastra, and Jenny... again, as wonderful as ever. They seem to be three of the few characters I actually enjoy seeing time and time again.

- The Whisper Men and the Intelligence didn't actually play as strong a role as I had expected (despite the fact that they helped us unravel who Clara was) but I did find them quite creepy, and would like to see them return!

- Clara Oswin. The Impossible Girl. I don't think any of us were expecting that outcome! I'm very pleased with the way her story unfolded; it wasn't too extravagant or surreal either, which makes me happy.

- Credit to Moffat's writing skill, the script for this episode is beautiful, with a perfect ration of heartbreaking moments and comedic input. It's wonderfully directed by Saul Metzstein too; it's very hard to fault it.

- "From Gallifrey to Trenzalore..."
