Is Sweeeney Todd scary?
This is a frequently asked question from Google. Since Sweeney Todd is my all-time favourite film, I thought it would be fun to answer this here.
The short answer is: no.
Sweeney Todd has a certificate rating of 18, or R. However, this is because of graphic bloody violence, rather than horror.
In fact, Sweeney Todd could be a good gateway film for horror, as you can test your stomach with the bloody violence, without the fear of jump scares or other terrifying moments.
Sweeney Todd has a LOT of blood in it, but it is not a scary film.
